Guesthouses
RecommendedThe most popular choice. A private or shared room in a traditional Balinese house, usually with a pool. Breakfast included in many. All 33 guesthouses on our list are verified by our team — we've checked the Wi-Fi, the neighborhood, and the vibe.
Shared villas
PopularYou rent a room in a private villa shared with 2–4 flatmates (often other expats or interns). A pool is standard. More independence than a guesthouse, with a social dimension.
Private apartment/studio
Long staysFull independence. You rent a studio or apartment on your own. Good for stays of 5+ months. Requires a local guarantor or a deposit (1–2 months rent). We help you navigate this.
Coliving spaces
PremiumAll-inclusive (room, coworking, events, community). Good if you want zero friction and a built-in network. Higher cost, but great value if you use everything.

Do I need to book before arriving?
Yes. We pre-negotiate rates with our 33 verified guesthouses. We book for you as part of your onboarding, once the internship agreement is signed.
What's included in the rent?
Typically: room, pool, Wi-Fi, electricity, water. Breakfast is often included at guesthouses. At villas, it's usually just the room.
Can I change my accommodation after arriving?
Yes. We have a local emergency contact who can help you relocate if needed. It's rare, but it happens.
What neighborhood should I choose?
Depends on your internship location and lifestyle. Canggu and Pererenan are the most popular. We advise on the best fit during your qualification call.
