What is the C22 visa?
The C22 (officially Visa Kunjungan Magang) is Indonesia's official visa for foreign interns. It lets you legally work at an Indonesian company for up to 175 days in the country (internships up to 6 months). Without it, interning in Bali is illegal and risks deportation. It's included in our 990€ package — we handle it entirely.
Documents required
Passport in perfect condition, valid at least 12 months after your start date (scan of page 4)
Round-trip plane tickets — immigration requires them to issue the visa
ID photo on a white background
Recent bank statement (proof of funds, €2,000+ in your account)
Your mother's first and last name
Company sponsor letter (we handle this)

Your passport must be clean
Indonesian immigration is very strict: no wet, flooded, torn or damaged pages. A passport with water damage, tears or loose pages can be refused and the visa denied. If yours is damaged, renew it before you apply.
- Make sure the photo is sharp, in focus, and not ghosted.
- Make sure the photo is not covered, cropped or folded and not blurry.
- Make sure the passport photo is in landscape form.

Photo format
- File format *.JPEG / .JPG / .PNG in color.
- Min. 400×600 px.
- Max. size 2 MB.
- Proper composition.
The top of the head, including the hair, to the bottom of the chin must be between 50% and 60% of the image's total height. The eye height (measured from the bottom of the image to the level of the eyes) should be between 50% and 60% of the image's height.
The layout and position of the photo must be proper (too close and too far are not recommended).

Timeline
From a complete file to the visa being issued: about 1 month. Your round-trip tickets are part of the file: buy them before sending it. Pick your dates with the planner below: changing an international flight costs €200–400.
Your plane tickets
Internship confirmed: pick your dates with the planner and buy a round trip (land 2–7 days before your start, fly back within 175 days of arrival).
Your visa file
Send your tickets and documents through your personal link. You can do it in several goes.
Submission & approval
We hand your complete file to our visa agent. Approval by Indonesian immigration: about 1 month.
Visa issued
You receive your C22 visa. You must enter Indonesia within the next 90 days.
Extension
C22 can be extended once for up to 180 additional days. Request must be submitted 15 days before expiration, with the sponsor's agreement. In practice, extensions are routine if the company cooperates.
Important: no exit from Indonesia
The C22 is a single-entry visa. If you leave Indonesian territory — even for a day trip to Singapore or elsewhere — your visa is immediately cancelled upon exit. You would need to apply for a new visa from scratch to return.
Plan all travel within Indonesia during your internship: Lombok, Java, Flores, Raja Ampat... International travel must happen before your internship starts or after it ends.
